This video will give you an overview of what it takes to install Joomla on Windows XP using both a VMWare server or WAMP install set of Apache, PHP and MySql.

The overview is pretty quick but you will get the full information to get you started and running your own copy of Joomla.

WAMP install of server software is a good feature for most users eventhough it may take a little longer to get running and to configure because you will have ready access to all your applications that are similar configurations to a remote hosting service.

Apache PHP MySql setup on Windows should always be performed as a package and not individually because many settings to let each server work with the other have been tested by the distro group.

KrazyChicken uses Apache Friends XAMP distribution for testing and this allows us to run about 10 test servers on an XP system which are developed sites and then ready for upload after all the features have been tested.
