Pic2Color is a very simple online tool for grabing colors from your images.

Although the application does not have a lot of features it is easy to use.

Simply upload an image or put in a url to an image out on the InterWeb someplace and a group of colors will be selected.

Once you have the colors selected you can grab their HTML Color values by clicking on them in the pallet below the image.

One nice feature is that you can add thier pallet generator to your CMS site by inserting their widget on your page. Although how useful it may be to have a color picker on your site remains to be seen.

Here you can see we have uploaded a picture and the color selector has grabbed and generated a color scheme based on the colors found in the image.

This is a very nice online color picker that provides a number of options.

When using the color generator you start by selecting your main color and then select the option of how many related colors you want to generate.

Triad colors are good because it gives you the main colors for your site.

Your color scheme will be generated with a preview showing patches of colors ovelayed.

You can then make adjustments or select new colors.

To save your color pallet just grab the url to the pallet you can then provide the url to a client or keep it while you continue designing your site.

The best option about this color scheme generator is the ability to see colors overlayed on a pallet instead of being spread out.

This gives you a preview of how the colors will be used.

ColorSchemer.com provides you both an online version of their color picking software and a downloadable option for many of their tools.

The online version allows you to put in a single color and then generate matching colors.

If you don’t like your first match then just click on a closest color within the pallet and a new color range will be generated.

When you are done picking your colors then you can select the HTML colors that you want to use on your pages.

Although the online version trys to give you a matched pallet the number of colors that are generated may have people picking the wrong colors for matching.

Usually you want to stay with about 5 or fewer main colors for your site.

When designing your website it can get difficult matching colors to your main graphics or selecting a range of colors for use on your backgrounds, borders, font colors and other items.

Adobe’s Kuler site  can help you generate either a single HTML color from an image or a full color pallet for your site.

This is a nice option for many people that can use an online color picker.

Just make the video using Windows Movie Maker or some other application and then upload it to your favorite video hosting site like YouTube.

Once the video is converted on their server you have the option of using their embedded player or you can grab the flash video .flv file from your browser cache and use it in your own video player.

Now some video sites may place a watermark or logo on your video which is not prefered but others will simply convert your video to flash format.

If you have problems playing your video  then there may be extended information or a format size change used by the video hosting service.

But if you are away from home or your main computer this is a quick save that can get you the file you need.

Guba.com is a general video hosting site similar to YouTube.

You need to make an account for uploading videos but you can place videos on your site with an embed code without registering for an account.

Content is sorted into different categories.
One of the features we like is the video howtos section.

One problem with the video player is that the size may be too large for your pages.
General videos are 640×480 and the embed tag does not have an option to resize the video.

This means you will need to make modifications yourself or find a plugin that has options for resizing the video player window.

To view the video files on GUBA, you need the proper software installed. Videos come in different formats and different formats require different software. GUBA currently only archives videos in 4 different formats - Quicktime, MPEG, RealVideo, and AVI. Here are links to the software you need for each one:

This also means that if you embed videos your visitors will need the same players.

GodTube.com is a religious Video Social Site that allows you to embed videos in your pages.

To add videos to your site just browse the videos and grab the embed code from the sidebar.

This is a great way to share Gods Word with others and remember that Religion on the internet is more popular then any other content even Adult content so don’t think you will be unpopular by using this service.

PitchFork is a site that hosts videos from independent artists both popular and new ones.

The service allows you to embed videos in your pages using an object link.

Although the number of videos is limited the site seems to provide quality feeds to content that can be useful for enhancing your site.

Adding videos is not allowed by the general public you will need to contact the site reps to get your ban listed.

TinyPic has been around for a long time they offer both video and image hosting and no signup is required.

TinyPic is part of Photobucket but it does not include features for building galleries. Each video and image is independent and will be hosted for about a year.

Simply go to the site and select video or image for upload.
After your image is uploaded you will be provided a direct link for images and a video player embed code for your videos.

Recently they have added a flash option to add features to your still images.

This host is what it is … Mass offsite storage for your images and files.

We think it is probably one of the best out there.
